Applications for CAS ANSO Scholarships in China are now open. It is a non-profit organization which seeks to enhance human lives, well-being, scientific and technological capacities on both regional and global levels.
USTC is a comprehensive university which is well known for its advance fields of science and technology, innovative medicine and well drafted management and humanities programs. UCAS is an innovative university that primarily focusses on graduate education while combining scientific research and education. International scholarships offered by these universities support PhD and Master’s students annually by offering diverse degree programs.
CAS is a national academic institution in China that includes a system of higher education, a merit-based learnt society, and an extensive network for research and development. The main areas emphasized in this institute include natural sciences, technological sciences, and Chinese high-tech innovation. These fully funded scholarships for international students encourages more extensive Science & Technology collaboration and communication.

Benefits
For PhD candidates:
- All tuition fees will be waived off.
- A monthly stipend of 6,000 or 7,000 CNY/month up to 48 months will be given after passing the qualification test of university.
- Health insurance will be included.
- Application fee will be waived off.
- International travel allowance or reimbursement will be provided.
- Accommodation subsidy will be given.
- One-time visa or residence permit will be included.
For Master’s candidates:
- All tuition fees will be waived off.
- A monthly stipend of 3,000 CNY/month up to 36 months will be given.
- Health insurance will be included.
- Application fee will be waived off.
- International travel allowance or reimbursement will be provided.
- Accommodation subsidy will be given.
- One-time visa or residence permit will be included.
Eligibility
- Applicants should not have Chinese citizenship.
- Applicants should be proficient in English or Chinese language.
- Candidates should be born after 1st January 1995 for Master’s program.
- Candidates should be born after 1st January 1990 for PhD program.
- All candidates must meet the admission criteria for international students of USTC/UCAS.
- Applicants are not allowed to take up other assignments during the scholarship period.
- Students who are currently doing a master’s degree at any university in China cannot apply for this master’s scholarship program.
- Students who are currently doing a doctoral degree at any university in China cannot apply for this PhD scholarship program.
- All awardees have to complete the centralized training in Chinese language, Chinese culture and all required credits.
- All awardees have to complete the practical research and degree thesis at colleges and schools of USTC/UCAS or CAS institutes.
- Candidates can either apply for USTC or UCAS scholarship.

- Fill in all the information asked.
- Follow the instructions mentioned on the websites.
- Upload all the required documents.
- Choose the institute you are applying in (USTC or UCAS).
- Submit your application on the portal.
Required Documents
- Photocopy of passport (should have validity of at least one year).
- A research proposal (minimum 800 words).
- CV
- Two letters of recommendation from professors with their contact number and email address.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
- Photocopy of HSK certificate or other evidence of Chinese language proficiency. (For Chinese programs)
- Photocopy of valid IELTS or TOEFL result or other evidence of English proficiency if mother tongue is not English. (For English programs)
- Photocopy of degree certificate.
- If degree is not obtained yet, submit a pre-graduation certificate with degree completion date on it.
- Photocopy of academic transcripts for both Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree.
- Official documents to show your student status.
- Employed applicants should provide official documents about their post.
