The Swedish Institute Leader Lab is designed for leaders in civil society, culture, and media across Eastern Europe, the Western Balkans, and Türkiye who want to explore innovative tools and new forms of collaboration. The Swedish Institute Leadership program lets you make your organization’s advocacy and outreach better. It also helps you become a better leader, share knowledge, make new friends, and try new tools and methods with others. This program aims to establish a network of civil society leaders who are willing to pursue their careers while working to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. This youth leadership program will open multiple avenues for the participants regarding new digital progressive solutions and innovative developmental methods.
This fully funded leadership program helps you grow both personally and at work. You’ll gain more confidence learn new things as a leader and discover ways to make your team stronger and more effective. This year, the Swedish Institute will choose 100 participants to come together in Stockholm for a week of intensive, on-site learning. This experience aims to deepen understanding and foster better collaboration.

Eligibility
- Must be working on a civil society organization, that intends to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 16.
- Your age should be between the ages of 22 and 45 years.
- Have a good command of written and spoken English.
- You must ensure your availability to participate in each part of the program.
- Must be willing to share the learned knowledge from SI with your organization or team on your return.
- Must be a citizen of any of the following countries:
- Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Türkiye, Ukraine

- Firstly, register your profile.
- Choose the program you wish to apply for. There will be two different links, one for Eastern Europe and the other for the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia.
- Ensure to answer all the related fields.
- Ensure to upload the supporting documents.
- Complete the application form carefully.
- You will get the confirmation email after the submission of the application.
- You will be required to record the video through the given video link in the email. For this, you will be supposed to answer the two given questions within two minutes.

You will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Motivation and passion towards the program.
- Your extent of awareness and analytical skills.
- Your participation in organizational strategic decision-making.
- How much potential do you have to get the benefit out of this program?
- How well you can contribute to this program.
