National Scholarship Program (NSP) 2025 in Slovakia

The study programs offered in this international scholarship program include Health Care, Education, Art, Technical Sciences, Social, Economics, Legal Science, Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Informatics, Agriculture and Veterinary Science, Humanities, Security Sciences, Defense, and Military. Candidates can select the study area according to their academic background and interest in a particular field.

Three types of Higher education institutions which include public, state, and private will provide education and creative scientific research or creative artistic activities. During this scholarship program in Europe, scholars can explore the natural beauty of Slovakia including mountains, lowlands, valleys, lakes, cave formations, forests, and meadows. The program will provide scholarship amounts, accommodation, meals, and travel grants to the selected candidates. This is an amazing international exchange program where citizens from any country of the world except Slovakia can apply.

Scholarship Duration

  • Master’s students: 1 – 2 full semesters (4 – 5 or 9 – 10 months)
  • PhD students: 1 – 10 months
  • University teachers, researchers, or artists: 1 – 10 months

Benefits

  • University students of the second level of higher education will get a scholarship of 620 Euros per month.
  • PhD students will get a scholarship of 1025,50 Euros per month.

University teacher/researcher/artist:

  • Without PhD degree with less than 4 years of work experience will get a scholarship of 1025,50 Euros per month.
  • With PhD degree and less than 10 years of work experience will get 1370 Euros per month.
  • With PhD degree and more than 10 years of work experience will get 1470 Euros per month.
  • The scholarship will cover living costs related to staying in Slovakia.
  • Accommodation will be provided to the scholars.
  • Meals will be given during the scholarship duration.
  • Students and PhD students can be given a travel allowance but they have to apply for it along with their scholarship application.

Eligibility

  • Citizens of any country in the world except the citizens of Slovakia can apply for this scholarship program.

Eligibility according to categories:

  • Should be university students at universities outside Slovakia.
  • Should be master’s students (second level of higher education) or students who have completed at least 2.5 years of their university studies in the same study program.
  • Applicants will be on a study stay in Slovakia during their higher education outside Slovakia and will be accepted by a public, private, or state higher education institution in Slovakia for academic mobility to study in Slovakia.
  • PhD students:
    • To apply for the doctoral study program, applicants should be PhD students whose higher education or scientific training takes place outside Slovakia and who are accepted by a public, private, or state higher education institution or a research institution in Slovakia.
  • International university teachers, researchers and artists:
    • Applicants should be invited to a teaching/research/artistic stay in Slovakia by an institution with a valid certificate of eligibility to carry out research and development.
