The Institute for Sustainable Finance is a multi-disciplinary network of research and professional development that brings together academia, the private sector, and government to shape Canada’s innovations in sustainable finance.
The Canadian Sustainable Finance Network (CSFN) is proud to offer two McCall MacBain CSFN Sustainable Finance fellowships which will be awarded to Master’s students enrolled in qualifying research-based graduate program in a CSFN partner university, with a demonstrated research interest in sustainable finance.

- The value of each award is $15,000
Eligibility
- The awards are available only for Master’s students enrolled in a research-based finance, economics or business graduate program in a CSFN partner university (includes universities that are institutional CSFN members) with a demonstrated research interest in sustainable finance.
Judging Criteria
- Winners will be selected by the CSFN adjudication committee on the basis of demonstrated academic merit and the expressed research interest in sustainable finance.
- Applicants will be assessed based on the statement of interest in sustainable finance research provided by the candidate, their CV, academic transcripts, and letters of reference (i.e., from the application to program file).
Required Documents
All fellowship applicants must provide:
- a short description of their research interest in sustainable finance;
- academic transcripts; and,
- a CV including a list of publications (e.g. conference proceedings, abstracts, journal articles, etc.), as well as relevant academic, research, and work experience.
