The Radcliffe Fellowship program is a tremendous opportunity that supports 50 fellows each year through a diverse range of projects in their respective areas. Eligbility

• Everyone from any nationality can apply.
• Must have accomplished high scores.
• Must have independent research and writing skills.
• If you are applying as a practitioner, you must have senior leadership positions in non-profits, government, or the private sector and have at least ten years of relevant experience, and be acknowledged as a leader in your relevant field.
• You should not be a former Harvard fellow.

For applicants of the humanities and social sciences:

• Have received their doctorate (or appropriate terminal degree) in the area of their proposed project at least four years prior to their appointment as a fellow (December 2022 for the 2026-27 fellowship year). Appropriate terminal degrees include PhD, MD, and JD.
• Must have published a monograph or at least two articles in refereed journals.

For applicants of science, engineering, and mathematics:

• Have received their doctorate in the area of the proposed project at least four years prior to their appointment as a fellow (December 2022 for the 2026-27 fellowship year).
• Must have published at least five articles in refereed journals.

For applicants of creative arts, the following eligibility requirements should be met against each category:

Film and Video:

• Must have a strong work achievement, demonstrated in the form of video festivals, films, or broadcasts on television.

Visual Arts:

• Must have strong work achievements.
• Experience working for at least five years as a professional artist.
• Must have participated in several curated group shows.
• Must have participated in professional solo exhibitions.

 Fiction & Non-Fiction:

Must have one of the following achievements:

• One or more published books;
• A contract for the publication of a book-length manuscript; or
• At least three shorter works (longer than newspaper articles) published.

Journalism:

• Applicants in this discipline are required to have worked professionally as a journalist for at least five years.

Poetry:

• Applicants in this discipline must have had at least 20 poems or a book of poetry published in the last five years, and must be in the process of completing a manuscript.

Playwriting:

• Applicants in this discipline must have a significant body of independent work in the form. This will include, most typically, plays produced or under option.

 Music Composition:

•  It is desirable, but not required, for applicants in music composition to have a PhD or DMA. Most importantly, the applicant must show strong evidence of achievement as a professional artist, with a record of recent performances.
