Applications are open for the CLA Foundation Opportunity Scholarship Program 2026. The CLA Foundation Opportunity Scholarship Program seeks to identify and award America’s future leaders in finance, accounting, business and other emerging areas of study.
The CLA Foundation Opportunity Scholarship Program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Awards
- If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $15,000 award. Up to 69 awards will be granted.
Eligibility
- Be high school seniors, high school graduates, current college undergraduates or graduate level students in the United States (U.S.) who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or graduate school for the entire upcoming academic year.
- Be planning to pursue a degree in an industry related area of study related to CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP). Areas of study include, but not limited to:
- Accounting
- Business
- Finance
- Other emerging areas of study including:
- Computer Science
- Data Science and Analytics
- Cybersecurity
- Human-Centered Design and User Experience (UX/UI)
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Legal Technology and Regulatory Compliance (RegTech)
- Cognitive Science and Robotics
- Communications and Digital Media
- Ethics and Technology Management
- Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
Interns (current or during the academic year) at CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) or the CLA Foundation; CLA employees; immediate family members of CLA employees (including, but not limited to spouses/partners and grandchildren); and children of CLA employees, officers, and executives are not eligible.
Selection Criteria
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
- Academic performance
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
- Work experience
- A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
- Unusual personal or family circumstances
- An online recommendation
Application
As part of your application, you must upload the following:
- A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
- Student name
- School name
- Grades
- Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
