Applications are open for the EPL Ghana Public Sector Fellowship Programme 2024. The EPL Ghana Public Sector Fellowship is a unique one-year professional development program for high-achieving young graduates who have demonstrated a clear interest in and commitment to transforming the public sector and policy-influencing organizations.
At Emerging Public Leaders of Ghana, they firmly believe that the bedrock of Ghana’s development and economic prosperity lies in the strength of its public sector institutions. Their mission is crystal clear: to catalyse Ghana’s progress by fortifying its public sector institutions through global partnerships and their transformative Public Sector Fellowship programme.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Ghanaian nationals with no criminal history;
- Completion of National Service (NSS) at the time of application;
- Not exceed 32 years of age at the time of application;
- Demonstrate commitment to the wider Public Sector work and leadership potential;
- Proven track record of community involvement and a passion to serve Ghana;
- Strong written and verbal English skills;
- Basic computer skills;
- Ability to work under pressure in a professional working environment.

- Fill out the online application, and upload the following documents:
- Undergraduate Certificate
- Proof of completing NSS
- CV (2-pages or less)
- Copy of any valid national ID / Passport
- Applicants will submit 4 essays:
- In not more than 500 words, describe your interest in Ghana’s Public Sector and how being selected as an Emerging Public Leaders (EPL) Fellow fits into your personal and professional goals.
- In not more than 500 words, describe a situation where you demonstrated initiative and leadership. What was the situation? What measures and actions did you put in place? What was the result and impact?
- In not more than 300 words, describe your understanding of Ghana’s Public Sector.
- Give EPL a sense of what inspires you (your values, beliefs, convictions, etc.) and why. (300 words)
