Applications are invited for Erasmus Mundus Big Data masters programmes available for European students and Non-European students.

These opportunities are awarded to pursue the BDMA masters program for the academic year 2021-2022.

The Erasmus Mundus Master’s Programme in Information Technologies for Business Intelligence (BDMA) is designed to provide understanding, knowledge and skills in this broad scope of fields. Its main objective is to train computer scientists who understand and help develop the strategies of modern enterprise decision-makers.

BDMA is a 2-year, English-language programme jointly delivered by Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in Belgium, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Spain, Université François Rabelais Tours (UFRT) in France, Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (TU/e) in the Netherlands and Technische Universität Berlin (TUB) in Germany.

Eligibility: 

  • To apply to BDMA, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
  • They have been awarded a Bachelor’s degree (i.e., the equivalent of 180 ECTS) with a major in computer science, from an accredited university.
  • They must be able to demonstrate proficiency in English by means of an internationally recognised test equivalent to level B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The consortium will rely on how certification bodies evaluate their own equivalences against this framework, e.g., Cambridge General English FCE, IELTS (Academic) 5.5, TOEFL (paper-based) 570, TOEFL (computer-based) 230, TOEFL (internet-based) 72, etc.

How to Apply

  • How to Apply: To file an application for the EM Master programme: Candidates are required to apply via the BDMA online application form.
  • Before starting, students must have the following documentation (all in English and stamped by some public institution certifying that they correspond to the original counterpart in their local language) at hand.
  • Cover letter (stating your interest, your possibilities in the Master, and anything you consider relevant to know for the Selection Committee)
  • Passport
  • Photo (passport size)
  • CV
  • Bachelor certificate (at least 180 ECTS)
  • Official transcripts
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Proof of contracts
  • Entrance Requirement: Students should have been awarded a Bachelor’s degree (i.e., the equivalent of 180 ECTS), from an accredited university.

Application Deadline:

  • Depending on their nationality, those applying as self-funded students must apply between October 1st, 2020, and either April 30th, 2021, or June 30th, 2021. The deadlines are recalled below:
    • Students applying for an Erasmus+ scholarship: N/A
    • Students not applying for an Erasmus+ scholarship:
      • Students from NON-EU Countries: April 30th, 2021
      • Students from EU Countries: June 30th, 2021
