The prestigious King Abdulaziz University Scholarship 2020-21 is now open for applications. King Abdulaziz University is offering fully-funded scholarships for masters and doctoral programs.
KAU International scholarships in Saudi Arabia are available in multiple disciplines. All the expenses of the selected students will be covered by the university.
King Abdulaziz University is a public university in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was established in 1967 as a private university, by a group of businessmen led by Muhammad Abu Bakr Bakhashab and including writer Hamza Bogary.

Benefits:
The KAU is offering full scholarships to all the selected candidates. The scholarship covers:
- A monthly bursary of SR 900
- A monthly bursary SR 1000 (a research assistant without summer time ) , the contract applies for one semester only between the Deanship of Graduate Studies and the student and in case of the two parties’ desire to contract for another semester.
- A preparation allowance when coming for the first time of SR 1,800.
- The candidate would receive health care.
- Providing accommodation and facilities.
- Subsidized meals can be provided for the candidate.
- A total sum of SR 4,000 for PhD, and SR 3.000 for masters’ allowance for printing the thesis.
- An allowance of SR 2,700 for shipping books (when graduated).
- Providing the candidate with a two-way ticket annually.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The Applicant’s Age Doesn’t Exceed (35) Years for Ph.d. And (30) Years for Masters.
- The Applicant Must Have a University Degree From an Accredited College or University and Should Have a Degree With “very Good” at Least.
- An Approved Exam in English Has Required for an Applicant Whose First Language is Not English. The Approved Exams and Minimum Required Scores Are Listed Below:
- TOEFL (PBT)=500
- TOEFL (CBT)=173
- TOEFL (IBT)=61
- IELTS=5
- He Must Have a Record of Good Conduct and Must Be Medically Fit.
- He Must Not Have Been Dismissed From Any University.
Tasks and Duties:
- Graduate scholarship students are expected to fulfill their research obligations to the best of their knowledge, training, and ability; to carry out their responsibilities and perform their duties in accordance with all relevant KAU rules and regulations.
- They should devote a sufficient amount of time and energy towards achieving their degree.
Required Documents:
Prepare the following documents for the King Abdulaziz University Scholarship for foreign students.
- Curriculum vitae for the applicant.
- The statement of purpose must be in English for all programs except in Islamic Studies and Arabic Language.
- A copy of the graduation certificate (certified from Saudi Embassy).
- A copy of the transcript (certified from Saudi Embassy).
- Recommendation letters should be submitted from two of his former professors.
- A copy of a valid passport at least one year.
Application Deadline:
- The KAU Graduate Studies Scholarships are open all year. There is no deadline.
