Nigerian Criminal Justice Reporting Fellowship

Civic Media Lab is inviting journalists to apply for the Nigerian Criminal Justice Reporting Fellowship.

This fellowship combines training, mentoring and collaboration to produce stories that promote accountability and transparency in the judiciary.

Selected fellows will investigate and break stories which expose corruption and accountability issues in the criminal justice system, highlight causative factors and propose solutions. Staff and independent journalists in Nigeria are eligible to apply. Journalists covering judiciary and human rights are particularly encouraged to apply.

Application opens on September 16th and closes on September 28th 2020. Selection will be completed on 30th September, 2020. Successful journalists will be invited for a 2-day virtual master class in October.

Fellows would be funded by the Civic Media Lab to conduct their investigations.
