Applications are now open for the Students For Liberty South-Asia Local Coordinator Program 2020. The Students For Liberty Local Coordinator Program is the premier program for actively advancing the ideas of free markets and individual liberty on college campuses.
The SFL’s Local Coordinator Program is a platform for young liberal individuals to meet other like-minded individuals, learn more about the philosophy of liberty, and assume leadership positions in the global student’s movements’ for liberty.
As an SFL Local Coordinator, you will have an enriching academic experience during your one year term. Students for Liberty will run an online training program on their SFL Academy to give you a basic understanding of leadership/ organizational skills and economic, political & libertarian principles.

Eligibility
- The program is open to applicants from South Asia (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri-Lanka).
- Full-Time/ Part-Time students pursuing an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in any discipline.
- Organizational/ Research Skills.
- MS-Office/ G-Suite.
- Communication & Language Skills.
- Interest in Economics, politics, Law, and Public Policy.
- Curiosity and Open-Mindedness to learn about new ideas.
Qualities of Ideal Candidates
Ideal candidates will have the following qualities:
- Applicants interested in becoming a Local Coordinators should be able to dedicate 2-6 hours per week to the program for one academic year.
- Successful applicants will be professional, personable and excellent communicators.
- At least 1 year of leadership experience in a pro-liberty student group
- Interest in hosting campus events and keenness in activism
- Ability to manage muiltiple projects at once
- Looking to develop their own skill-sets
- Strong self-motivation to complete projects with little to no oversight
- A passion for the ideas of liberty and for organizing to make the world a freer place
- Enjoy staying up until 2am talking to other students about how to advance liberty
