What is SUSI Program 2021
Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSIs) for Student Leaders are intensive short-term academic programs whose purpose is to provide groups of Undergraduate Male & Female Pakistani student leaders with a deeper understanding of the United States.
Institutes consist of a balanced series of seminar discussions, readings, group presentations, and lectures.
Coursework and classroom activities are complemented by educational travel, site visits, leadership activities, and volunteer opportunities within the local community.
During the four-week academic residency, participants also have the opportunity to engage in educational and cultural activities outside of the classroom.

Announcement: The 2021 summer program may be conducted in-person at the host institution, the University of Massachusetts, in the United States OR as a virtual program with all lectures and activities designed for online synchronous and asynchronous learning due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. Please know that even if you’re selected for the 2021 cohort, you may still not be able to participate in the in-person program.

Eligibility Criteria
- Have a strong interest in public policy.
- Be fluent in English.
- Age between 18 and 25 years of age.
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
- Students Enrolled in (2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th) of their 4 Year Bachelor Degree Can Apply
- Students Enrolled in (2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th,8th,9th) of their 5 Year Medical Degree Can Apply
- If you are enrolled in a Two-year bachelor’s program, you are eligible to apply if you are NOT in your final year of study. Final year students are not eligible to apply.
- If you are enrolled in a four-year bachelor program you can apply if you have at least one semester of study remaining. Final semester students are not eligible to apply.
- If you are enrolled in a Five-year Medical OR MBBS program you can apply if you have at least one semester of study remaining. Final semester students are not eligible to apply.
- Participants must be committed to returning home to complete their degrees.

Download application form fills it and converts it into PDF. Complete an application form and submit it to SUSISLExchange@state.gov by latest by 11:59 pm on Monday, January 04, 2021. Only emailed applications will be considered for review. Take special care in answering the essay questions.
