Deadline: April 13, 2025
Youth Leader Fund for a World without Nuclear Weapons is a unique hybrid learning program that combines online and in-person training. This international initiative aims to equip future leaders with the knowledge, skills, and global network to actively contribute to the elimination of nuclear weapons—the most destructive weapons on Earth. YLF is looking for passionate young individuals ready to use their talents to build a safer and more peaceful world.
During this associated training program, participants will receive foundational training in nuclear disarmament, non-proliferation, and arms control. The program begins with a four-month interactive online component featuring self-paced eLearning modules, online discussions, live webinars, skill-building workshops, and practical assignments. Participants will engage directly with fellow young leaders and international disarmament experts.
Upon successful completion of the online training, 50 selected participants will be invited on a fully funded, week-long study tour to Japan. This second phase of the program emphasizes the power of communication and storytelling in advocacy. Participants will visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki, interact with hibakusha (atomic bomb survivors), and help carry forward their powerful messages to the world—raising awareness about the devastating impact of nuclear weapons.
