The primary goal of the Judicial Global Fellowship Program is to develop a global network of judges who can support one another in strengthening judicial systems throughout the world. This fellowship for international participants will conclude in Virginia, where fellows will attend the vibrant and diverse cultural activities of the region and will visit historic sites. While working with top faculty at the University of Virginia, participants will learn about criminal justice and human rights law. They will also polish their skills in perspective writing, negotiation, team work and creative leadership.
Teaching methods during this international fellowship will focus on interactive and collaborative exercises, simulations, experiential learning, and case studies. The judicial fellowship program will begin in Washington, DC, where fellows will explore the federal system of national and subnational courts and jurisdictions of the United States. During this fellowship program in the USA, participants will get a chance to meet with legal professionals from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other institutions. They will learn methods and tools to analyze judicial performance, maintain a judicial code of conduct, and support internal changes. The program will also include site visits to the U.S. Supreme Court and the National Archives.

- Applicants must have proficiency in the English language.
